Trust
A trust is a
written arrangement in which a trustee manages
property for the benefit of an individual or
organization. The trustee is responsible for
administering the trust in accordance with the
trustor's wishes. The trust can be set up as
revocable, which means it can be changed at any
time or irrevocable which cannot be modified.
Also, a trust can be effective during the
trustor's lifetime or can be established through
a will of a deceased person.
Any individual can benefit from a trust. If
you want to guarantee that certain financial
objectives are accomplished during or after your
lifetime, then it is advisable that you set up a
trust. Trusts can be established for individuals
ranging in age from less than one year to over
90 years of age. In many instances trusts are
used to keep family assets intact and use the
income for the benefit of several generations.
A trust is the only way to ensure that your
wishes are carried out, both during your
lifetime and, if desired, for many years after
your death.
